On September 17 & 18, Menaul Upper School participated in our Second Annual Community Building Daze by engaging in various team building activities. This year, a special activity forced teams to utilize their creativity to benefit others.
After hearing about the work of The Mountain Fund in Nepal (www.mountainfund.org), students were challenged to build something of use from the resources found in three piles of “junk” that had been created around campus. Hand tools and power drills were provided!
Teammates had roughly 3 hours to design and build something that is being offered for sale at a silent auction during homecoming week. The item that brings the highest price wins and team members will be rewarded with an afternoon away from school. ALL proceeds from the silent auction will be given to The Mountain Fund.
Now it’s up to you! Stop by our cafeteria during Homecoming Week (10/12 – 10/17) and place your bid on the item you just can’t live without. We are asking for a minimum bid of $25/item. You don’t want to miss out on this opportunity to own a really cool student creation all the while supporting a great organization!
