Antoinette Sedillo Lopez graduated from UCLA School of Law in May, 1982. She clerked for the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals for one year, practiced with the Modrall Law firm for 3 years and served on the faculty of the UNM School of law for 27 years, eight of those years as the director of UNM Clinical Law Programs. She became the executive Director of Enlace Comunitario on February 1, 2014. She is the co-author of Family Law in New Mexico and editor of the book series, Latino Communities: Emerging Voices: Political, Cultural and Social Issues, published by Routledge. She directed the UNM Summer Law Institute in Guanajuato, is a native of New Mexico, and is bilingual and bicultural. She has received several awards for her teaching, scholarship and service. Antoinette also serves on the Board of Directors of MALDEf (Mexican American Legal Defense and Education Fund) and the Southwest Women’s Law Center. She also co-edited a book Building on Best Practices: Transforming Legal Education in a Changing World published by West and will be coming out this spring.
