Jian Zhu, a native of China, has resided in Albuquerque, New Mexico for approximately 30 years. During this time he has co-founded dozens of successful organizations, institutions, and project initiatives. Mr. Zhu possesses over 15 years of experience in Christian faith-based community outreach, civic organizational development, and US-China cross-cultural services. His work has encouraged peaceful relations between both countries in the areas of education, business, health, medical services, public affairs, and the arts.
Mr. Zhu attended Wuhan University in China, where he earned a Bachelor’s of Arts in English and Literature. Mr. Zhu completed his Masters and Doctoral studies at the University of New Mexico (UNM) where he majored in socio-educational thought with a concentration in cross-cultural anthropology and communication. His teaching experience includes three years at Wuhan University, seven years in the Albuquerque Public Schools, and ten years in UNM’s Department of Foreign Language and Literature. His class was voted the third best class at UNM by the UNM student body for two consecutive years.
Mr. Zhu currently serves as the Director of the China Institute at Lincoln Christian University, the First Representative to China at Albuquerque Sister Cities’ Economic Friendship Program, and as the senior pastor of the Albuquerque Chinese Christian Church.
