She earned a BS in Anthropology and Latin American Studies from UNM, and a Master’s Degree in Spanish and Latin American Literature from UNM. In Spain, she did her doctoral degree studies in Latin American and Peninsular Literature. Mary has worked at UNM as a teaching assistant and adjunct, and more recently, as a Spanish teacher at Instituto Cervantes since 2001.
Mary is passionate about reading literature, enjoys gardening, and loves to travel – particularly to her native Bolivia.
