Panther Connection – October 2016

The Panther mascot joins students, faculty, and families in dancing at the bonfire

Menaul School welcomed Alumni and their families back for Homecoming on October 14th-15th.  Coronation returned to Friday night for the first time since 2007! The junior class did a beautiful job with the ceremony, and James Sanchez and Christina Baca were crowned King and Queen. After Coronation, students and staff joined their families and many Alumni for a barbecue and bonfire.

On Saturday, the Panther football team played an exciting game against the Jemez Valley Warriors! During halftime, the Homecoming Court was introduced to the crowd and the 1991 Panther Cheerleaders were inducted into the Panther Hall of Fame. Two long-time supporters of Menaul School – Rev. Jaime Quiñones and Corkey Baca – were given the title of Honorary Alumni by the Menaul Allison James National Alumni Association and the returning decades classes of 1946, 1956, 1966, 1976, 1986, 1996, and 2006 were recognized. This year’s Panther Cheerleaders put on a fantastic performance, warming the Panther fans back up to cheer the football team on to a 56-6 victory!

We are honored to welcome home so many Alumni, along with their families and the families of our students!
