Stephanie Hearn, the new Assistant Varsity Volleyball Stephanie HearnCoach at Menaul School, has played volleyball for 15 years, including three years competing at Valley High School in West Des Moines, Iowa.  She continues to play beach volleyball, including at a recent excursion in Labadee, Haiti.  Stephanie’s passion is for teaching and coaching students, and she spent the last year teaching middle school and high school music in Farmington.  She is thrilled to join the Menaul team!  Outside of volleyball, Stephanie enjoys playing dodgeball, ultimate frisbee, and other team sports, as well as cooking and playing clarinet.  She lives in Albuquerque with her husband.


  • Bachelor of Music Education degree from the University of Northern Iowa in 2013
  • Master of Music in Clarinet Performance degree from UNM in 2016
  • Certified to teach K-12 Music, Instrumental and Vocal
  • Graduate Assistant in the Woodwind Quintet
  • Won the UNI Concerto Competition and Presser Scholarship by performing memorized solo clarinet works
  • Graduated from the UNI Honors program and completed a thesis
