Our Boys’ Basketball program dates to the early 1900’s and has experienced varying degrees of success for over a century.
Menaul’s first gymnasium – Hart Gymnasium – was built in 1915 and in 1924 Menaul’s state championship basketball team traveled to Chicago, Illinois for a national competition.
Menaul’s 1987 – 88 team, playing in a brand new gymnasium (our current gymnasium), set school records in almost every category and ended the year as the State Runner-Up following a heartbreaking 1 point loss to Escalante in the State Championship game.
Menaul captured the 2011 – 2012 1A District 2 Championship qualifying for the 2012 1A state tournament. In addition, we were both the 2011 Bugg Light Tournament and the 2011 Bean Valley Invitational Tournament Champions. More recently, we are happy to report that our Middle School boys are 2016 District 2-2A champs and have earned berths in 2015 and 2016 State Tournaments.
Led by coach Gary Boatman, Menaul competes in 1A District 2 fielding Varsity and Junior Varsity squads.
