The most historic and storied athletic program at Menaul School is our football program.  Menaul is proud to be one of the oldest and most successful football programs in New Mexico.

Just a few of over a century’s worth of highlights:

1905   –   First Competitive football team: played UNM, Indian School, Albuquerque High School.  They had no uniforms but called themselves the Red & Black.

1937   –   State Champions, Undefeated season

1959   –   Class “C” State Champions, Undefeated, untied season

1975   –   Undefeated, un-scored upon regular season Coach Tomlinson “Coach of the Year”

1991   –   AA State Champions

Menaul currently plays 8-Man Football in New Mexico’s 8-Man District 1.  Our home field – Tomlinson Field – is easily the nicest 8-Man Football facility in the state and site of the annual 8-Man Football Showcase.

Middle School Flag Football

The Menaul Middle School Flag Football Team participates in the Albuquerque Parochial Independent Athletic League (APIAL) with other area parochial and independent middle schools.

Head Middle School Flag Football Coach Josh Baca works hard to prepare our student athletes to compete at the high school level.  The emphasis at the Middle School level is on fundamentals and teamwork.
