The end of the school year is drawing near. Seniors are looking toward graduation and college. 8th graders are preparing to move up to the Upper School. And all of our students are pushing to finish the school year thriving.

Carlos
Carlos is starting the Upper School next year. After sampling classes on “level up” day in February, he said teachers are “energetic about having us move up.” For Carlos, Menaul is like family. With friends in all grade levels, he feels confident about what to expect, and hopes to meet new friends who join the school.
Grace
For her Senior capstone project, Grace is following her passion to support youth transplant recipients. Having gone through this experience herself, Grace had always attended annual camp for kids like her.
“The camp is for kids from all over the country. My friend, we actually met at the hospital and grew up together…we went to the camp and met friends from California, South Carolina and Florida.” Sadly, because of Covid-19, the camp was cancelled. Grace’s project has been to organize online support group to take its place.
Michael
Michael will be graduating in May and truly appreciates our close and diverse community. “I like looking at so many different viewpoints and many different peoples’ opinions,” he says.
He’s planning to major in engineering and is rebuilding a 1970 Barracuda with a family friend for his capstone project. He says the experience is helping him lean toward mechanical engineering.
Julie
An international student from France, Julie is spending her gap year at Menaul. For her capstone project, Julie is creating a handbook for other students who are considering a gap year. Julie wants to study languages and has found the World Smart experience here invaluable. “It’s perfect,” she says. ”I wouldn’t trade this for anything.”
Chrystal
Chrystal is thinking she will major in business when she gets to college. For her Senior capstone project, she created an online business supplying bamboo home and healthcare products. At Menaul School since 9th grade, Chrystal has a lot of wonderful memories, from winning district volleyball championship this year, to performing arts in 10th grade and religion classes with Mr. Sitler.
