This weekend is when we would normally hold our homecoming celebration. It is one of the greatest times of the school year and a wonderful way for us to bond with our community, new and old. Alumni, parents, and students work together to create an amazing weekend, and it helps our community feel connected to past generations that have attended Menaul.
We want to honor this special tradition and Menaul’s longevity by looking at homecoming celebrations through the decades. Featured are just some of our many homecoming royalty, and the historical events that happened during these years. The people pictured lived through so many interesting and occasionally difficult times. This pandemic has been hard for all of us, and lately many of us have been feeling strained. It is nice to look to past generations and understand that they, at times, had similar experiences.
We acquired all of the photos and information about Menaul from the Menaul School Historical Library. If you have any questions about the content featured, please call them at 505-343-7480. We used onthisday.com for the historical events featured.
