Coach Lauren, who led current 2A district 2 champs (6-0) to the state playoffs this year, hails from Denton, Texas. Coach has 3 sisters and 2 nephews, who she returns home to visit as often as possible.

Coach came to Menaul School as a Young Adult Volunteer about three years ago — a YAV is part of the Presbyterian Mission Agency experience, a faith-based year of service for ages 19-30.

In Coach Lauren’s role as a Menaul School volunteer, she began coaching middle school basketball while she divided her time working in the offices at Second Presbyterian Church in Albuquerque.

This is Coach Lauren’s first year coaching Menaul Varsity Volleyball. What a year it has been!

In her free time Coach cooks and sleeps. She believes queso can solve any problem.

“Coach Lauren’s gift to the world is the ability to connect with and motivate young people. She “gets” students and challenges them to learn and be better. It has been fun to watch her discover her many God-given talents building our next leaders!”

Lindsey R. Gilbert, Head of School

Congratulations to Coach Lauren and her varsity team! #GoPanthers!
