My Story
My name is Etta Jane Linton and I was born in Marlin, Texas. I grew up in Farmington, NM and graduated from Farmington High School as a Scorpion. I started working at Menaul School in May of 2013 as a part-time School Activity Bus Driver. As the years progress, I have done or currently work with Building Maintenance/Grounds Maintenance, Dorm Relief Parent, and assistant Track & Field Coach.
Unexpectedly one day I was approached by Julie Webb on being interested in possibly becoming a Dorm Parent in 2015/2016. Mrs. Webb gave me time to think about the position which I did accept.
Why Menaul?
Dorm Parenting gave the chance to learn more about the campus living students from around the World. I had a lot to learn with ups and downs. I do enjoy working as a Dorm Parent greatly. With this opportunity I have learned a lot from many cultures other than American.
It is a joy to see the kids succeed each month/year in growth, then graduate, and become responsible young adults. I have no regrets in taking on the position of Dorm Parent.
