My Story

I was born and raised in Las Cruces, New Mexico. Eventually I found my way to Albuquerque, calling this beautiful city home for the past 7 years. My Bachelor’s is in Special Education from New Mexico Highlands University.

Recently, I obtained my Master’s in Teaching with a specialization in Special Education. In addition; TESOL and Gifted teaching endorsements from Western New Mexico University.

Shortly after graduating with my undergraduate degree, I began teaching in Albuquerque. Each year working in this field has brought me a stronger appreciation for my community and desire to support students in their own educational journeys.

I attribute my passion for education to my dad’s dedication to teaching and my own experiences in the field. It is where I had the opportunity to grow as a teacher and connect with students.

In my free time you can find me going on long hiking and camping trips, being with family, and relaxing with my two beautiful cats!

Why Menaul?

My love for education, creating inclusive settings, and being an active part of the community drew me to this unique school where the mission and values align so closely with my own.

I was drawn to the international population of Menaul School. My mom immigrated to the United States from Brazil as a young adult where she and her family faced many challenges. Her story is inspiring to me in my dedication to developing inclusive spaces where all people and cultures are valued, respected, and celebrated.

I am so excited to begin my journey at Menaul School and start building relationships with the wonderful staff, students, and families that make this school such a special place in the community!
