My Story

I grew up asking big questions: big questions about God, faith, meaning, and purpose.

Although these questions have changed as I have grown, they have never stopped. Raised hiking up and skiing down the New England white mountains, I believe deeply that God communicates God’s self through the natural world. I feel God’s presence when I feel most present to myself in body, mind, heart, and spirit.

Engaging my body in movement, whether that be running, hiking, swimming, biking, lifting or yoga, I am reminded that my whole being is lived in grateful response to the Creator who lovingly gifted it to me.

Other things that give me life are reading novels, listening to podcasts, and gardening. I value community service, sustainable and ecological living, and justice work of all kinds.

Questions about God and the world continue to surprise me, challenge me, and keep me in a state of awe.

Why Menaul?

Something that excites me the most about Menaul is that character formation sits at the center of its mission. Cultivating the values and morals of the individual is an integral part of what distinguishes a Menaul education.

Menaul’s mission to educate the whole person in mind, body and spirit means that Menaul primes the student for learning that can be sustained and continued across a lifetime.
