About The Award
During his 37-year tenure at Menaul School, many young men and women passed under Mr. Donaldson’s tutelage and their careers read like a Who’s Who in America. These graduates loved him for his discipline tempered with compassion and understanding, the love of learning he passed on, and his deep concern for the success of each student. For those who attended Menaul between 1916 and 1953, Mr. Donaldson embodied the Menaul School spirit and touched the lives of all who knew him.
The Harper C. Donaldson Outstanding Alumni Award was established in 1999 to honor his memory. Each year, the award is presented to an alumnus of outstanding achievement and commitment to the values of Menaul School.
