Jane represents the Women of the Presbytery. She has been involved in fundraising for Menaul School since the late 1960s when all the women of the Presbytery in the state had a fundraiser each year on the school campus. First Presbyterian Church started a shop in her church building in 1974 where they sold handmade items and gave the money to mission projects around the state including Menaul School. Her interest has continued partly due to having two of her grandsons attend Menaul School. One, Sam Rhodes was student at Menaul School for the full 7 years and was a very outstanding student. Sam’s greatest achievements were winning the Sea La Luz award and being Salutatorian. Jane has been a member of First Presbyterian Church for 60 years and has been very active in many aspects. She also had a catering business for 27 years.
She was born in Oklahoma and grew up in Texas. She attended Oklahoma University after a year at Mary Baldwin College. There she studied engineering and interior decorating, and later received a certificate in Architectural Drafting. She has been married to her husband, Curtiss, for 60 years, and together they have four grown children, five grandchildren, and one great-grandson. Her youngest son, Eric Moses, has been a teacher at Menaul for over 20 years.
Jane’s passion is needlework of all types. Her first choice is needlepoint, but she does most every kind of the other forms available.
