Tim McCallister is a Ruling Elder within the Presbyterian Church (USA). He’s an Honorably Discharged U.S. Marine and used the G.I. Bill to attend Auburn University where he earned a B.A. in Business Finance along with minors in Mathematics and Literature. He is an Eagle Scout and has been active in a variety of leadership roles within Cub and Boy Scouting, including serving as liaison between the denomination and the BSA National Council. Tim is married to his best friend Debbie and has two sons, Matthew 22 and Andrew 19.
Tim began his service to the denomination in 1987 when he worked for the Presbyterian Publishing House in Atlanta and later the Program Agency in New York. Tim transferred from New York to Louisville and was responsible for the administration and management of the Office of Student Financial Aid for Studies as the Associate where he oversaw the General Assembly’s awards, grants, loans and scholarships for undergraduate, graduate and post-graduate students. In 2000 Tim began his service as Associate to the Office of Mission Program Grants where he has managed the awards and grants that support the establishment of new worshiping communities and the transformation of existing congregations. Tim has the rare distinction of being one of the few, if any, staff members to have served at the General Assemblies in Atlanta, New York and Louisville.
Currently Tim continues to serve as the Associate for the Office of Mission Program Grants and is also serving as the Associate for the Office of Racial Ethnic Schools and Colleges, and provides budget support to the Racial Ethnic & Women’s Program Area.
