Have you been to the Menaul Historical Library in Bennet Hall? The Library, which holds major archives and records for the Presbyterian Church’s Southwest Mission, was featured in the Albuquerque Journal last week for their major contributions to local historical recordkeeping and imminent expansion.
The volunteer run library currently lives in Bennet Hall, a former boys dorm, and is an important institution both on campus and for the wider Menaul and Presbyterian community. The Library holds archives that date back to the mid-1800’s, when the Presbytery established their Southwest mission. The Menaul School legacy includes smaller, satellite schools around Northern New Mexico and has a rich alumni history that continues to be built even today.
Soon, the Library will be relocated to it’s new, renovated location in Allison Hall–right next door to Bennet Hall and just in time for its 50th anniversary next year.
