A lifelong advocate of foreign language study, Hayley Pedrick joined the Menaul School faculty as a full-time Spanish teacher in 2014. Born and raised in Albuquerque, she studied literature at the University of Colorado in Boulder. In 2007, she relocated to Oaxaca, Mexico and became certified to teach ESL. Over the past five years, Hayley has spent significant time living and working in Mexico, Brazil, and Guatemala, while also working for two wonderful non-profits in Chicago. She sees language learning as a fundamental tool that empowers individuals and opens doors, and she is enthusiastic about working with Menaul School students. In addition to language study, Hayley has a culinary background and can talk about food endlessly! Outside of academia, you might find Hayley at a local farm, on a bike trail, or on a yoga mat.
