Margaret grew up in Albuquerque, NM. She loves the city and the beautiful scenery, cultural diversity, and wonderful people that define it. She attended Albuquerque High School, where she first became seriously excited about mathematics through her AP Calculus class. She obtained both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees at New Mexico Tech. During graduate school, Margaret had the pleasure of teaching Trigonometry, Precalculus, and Calculus I classes. It was during this time that she became passionate about the challenges and amazing rewards of teaching. She sincerely believes that the patterns and puzzles found in mathematics are some of the most fun you can find anywhere and she is a firm believer that hard work trumps talent any day.
In her free time, Margaret dances competitively with the McTeggart School of Irish Dance. In addition, she loves running, taking Zumba classes, listening to reggaeton music, and spending time with her family. Her favorite author right now is Iyanla Vanzant.
Margaret joined Menaul School in 2014.
