Mr. Leon Eldridge joins our Visual and Performing Arts Department for the 2016-2017 school Leon Eldridgeyear, and will teach both Choir and Drama courses.

He is an international recitalist and vocal coach living in Albuquerque, New Mexico. A graduate of South Plains College and Southern Methodist University, Mr. Eldridge is an accomplished pianist and vocalist who has won many national and international competitions such as the Leontyne Price young artist competition and NATS, and has performed extensively in opera and musical theater.

As a teacher, Mr. Eldridge has worked to establish arts and music programs in non-profit community organizations around West Texas. For the last two years he has worked as a teacher and clinician for schools and theaters in Lubbock. Mr. Eldridge is an advocate for singing actors and ethnic diversity in the arts.  Since moving to New Mexico at the beginning of 2016, he has performed around Albuquerque and looks forward to working with the students of Menaul.

Mr. Eldridge believes that Menaul School represents a great opportunity to show the amazing and diverse cultures of New Mexico, both in the class room and in performance. He hopes to encourage positive growth both on stage and in the lives of students
